The Comcast Foundation recently awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township with a $10,000 grant to support the Club Tech Program. This program is a National Boys & Girls Clubs of America initiative that enables Club members to strengthen their basic computer literacy skills while also teaching positive internet usage and increasing each Club members’ awareness on internet safety.
The Club Tech program began in the Fall (2010) and will continue through the Spring (2011) with nearly 500 BGCDT Club members successfully graduating from the Club Tech program, with each participant completing the “Stay Safe” on-line module as well.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township wish to say THANK YOU to the Comcast Foundation for this outstanding contribution and continued support for the local at-risk youth that are served everyday at the Boys & Girls Club. Comcast is committed to our community, particularly the youth of our community, and continues to provide tremendous resources to promote learning and growth in the field of technology.

One of the most powerful after-school educational programs offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township is the Smart Moves Program, which focuses our youth towards making positive life decisions at home, school and within their social lives. This past month, 30 graduates (both 3rd & 4th graders) were honored recognizing their completion of this program.
