Career Workforce Program

            Zurich is an insurance company who recently gave our teens some advice on how to find a job and nail the interview. They did this through a resume building workshop that was four weeks long. Workshops like this have become very important in helping our members prepare for their future.

            This program placed the members in one on one mock sessions such as resume building, interview prep, and phone interviews. They started out with building their resumes. Members were encouraged to put their education level as well as any extracurricular activities that they have been involved in. They were also encouraged to include any work and volunteer experience.

            Once members had finished their resume, they went through interview preparation. They discussed the importance of making a good first impression. They learned about what to wear to an interview and prepare for different questions that the interviewer may have.

            Finally, the members went through a mock interview. Members were asked questions such as why they should be hired, their ability to work with a team, various accomplishments, and what they felt it takes to be successful in their position.
