June 20th was Make A Difference Day. This is a community event in which people in the community unite to help enrich the lives of one another. To celebrate, Bank of America stopped by out Liberty and Parkview sites. Liberty members made Under the Sea graham crackers and Ocean Zone water bottles.
BGCDT had a very exciting day as our very own Parkview site played host to State Senator Cristina Castro! Senator Castro is a second-generation Mexican-American who has been involved in making a difference in her community since she was a young girl. She also currently serves on multiple committees such as Appropriations I, Commerce and Economic Development, Energy, Labor, Revenue, Transportation, and is the Chair of Veterans Affairs Committee.
Head to Five Below between June 28th and July 5th at the Algonquin Commons and 10% of your purchases made will be donated back to Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township! A great way to buy fun stuff and give back to our mission! Please remember to show this link or print this page when checking out!
BGC Soccer Update:
Due to the recent weather conditions the Dundee Township Park District has decided to close their fields to give them a chance to dry up. Therefore, the BGCDT soccer league will be pushed out one week.
We hope to have access to the fields the week of June 10th, so that our teams may have the ability to practice prior to their first game, now scheduled for June 15th.
