"Gold Card" Day

One of the most joyous days of being a Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township Club member is receiving your “Gold Card”.  The magical number for this achievement is attending Club for 104 days, which is double the amount of days (52 days) that serves as the benchmark for attendance within Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

I was born and raised in “Old Town” Carpentersville.  I raised my own family just a few blocks from the home I grew up in.  Prior to working for Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township, I provided child care in my home for about 10 years, which allowed me to assist several families while being home to raise my own children.  I have 2 daughters, Caitlynn and Janna, 1 son, Ben, and 4 grandchildren, Aubree, Mason, Aiden, and Gary.

First American Bank sponsors the “Money Island” Program

BGCDT Club members from Meadowdale Elementary School recently held their Graduation Day Ceremony for completing a very unique program offered at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township, called “Money Island”.  The “Money Island” Program, sponsored by First American Bank, is an interactive (computer based) financial literacy program that educated our Club members on the basics of savings, spending and investing…all through a fictional character that the Club members can create.

Perry Elementary Site “SMART Girls” Volunteer Day

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township recently partnered with Feed My Starving Children (Schaumburg, IL), as a group of eleven (11) “Smart Girls” volunteered an entire afternoon of community service.  The “SMART Girls” program is a National Boys & Girls Clubs of America program that focuses on the development of young women in the Boys & Girls Club Movement.  The program involves weekly lessons on self-esteem, health and wellness, friendship, life skills and community service.
